Mayfield Education is running the pre-requisite course Contribute to the complex nursing care of clients (HLTEN505A) commencing on 30 August 2010. This course will be completed prior to the start of the Administer and Monitor Intravenous Medication in the Nursing Environment (HLTEN519A). You can enrol in both courses forwarding your application forms to Student Services.

Designed for:
Registered division 2 nurses working in an acute care setting or equivalent.
Entry Criteria
• Registered with the Nurses Board of Victoria as an endorsed division 2 registered nurse (all 4 routes: Enteral, Topical, Subcutaneous and Intramuscular).
• Completion of unit Contribute to the complex nursing care of clients. (HLTEN505A)
Delivery
This course is delivered over 6 weeks of 1 day per week plus 1 week of clinical placement. The course is 100 hours comprising:
• 62 hours of theory, nursing laboratory simulation and self directed learning
• 38 hours of supervised clinical placement.

$1,395 per peson
Funded fee (available through Skills Victoria): $325 plus materials fee $100
