Course Benefits
This course will enable the participant to be confident in and aware of:
• detergents and soil testing requirements
• the structure of steam sterilisers
• the impact of steam quality on sterilisation
• the terminology used to describe validation procedures
• the concepts and principles involved in process validation
• air conditioning requirements in CSD
• air conditioning in CSD
This short course forms an elective unit of the Certificate in Infection Control and Sterilisation and may be used as a credit towards this program.

Students may choose to receive additional assessment materials at a cost of $60. Once submitted, these will be assessed and if successfully completed students will receive the “Advanced Sterilising” unit from the course “Certificate in Infection Control and Sterilisation” (conditions apply).
