Certificate IV in Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 Nursing) HLT43407
At Mayfield, you will benefit from obtaining a strong theoretical understanding across the five fields of nursing: aged care, acute care, mental health, rehabilitation and community care nursing. Mayfield Education offers a breadth of clinical experience which fosters the development of your competency as a nurse, and increases your appreciation of the importance of evidence based practice.

Upon successful completion of this training, you will be eligible to apply for registration for Division 2 Certificate IV Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 Nursing) with the Nurses Board of Victoria (NBV).

Delivery
  • Onsite at Mayfield Education Hawthorn and Caulfield campuses
  • Clnical placement in full week blocks or part-time mode

Intake 2: Commencing 27 July 2009

27-31 July; 3-7 August; every Thursday thereafter

Assessment

Students are assessed against specific performance criteria for each unit of study. Assignments, written tests and examinations, a reflective journal and a clinical experience competency workbook. You are required to successfully complete all theoretical and clinical components.

Learning Pathway

Some course credit is offered to RN2 Certificate IV Nursing nurses upon entry to a Division 1 nursing course.

Units of competency leading to Diploma and Advanced Diploma.

Award

Nationally Recognised Certificate

Fee

$10,435 - Full Fee for Service Course Student.

$ 9,415 - Estimated subsidised fee (depending on government funding allocation).

$ 8,795 - Fee for Service Traineeship.

Fees are payable by instalment, subject to approved credit check.

Traineeship places and other Government funding will be announced in early 2009.

Additional costs:

  • VETASSESS literacy and numeracy test $45. Students are required to register with VETASSESS online. Students must submit a course application to Mayfield Education prior to sitting a VETASSESS test. Students will be advised by VETASSESS of testing dates which will be conducted at Mayfield.
