All distance education courses can be commenced at any time and may be undertaken by individuals or “groups” from organisations.
Programs of study offered by Mayfield include:

- Certificate IV in Cardiac Technology (HLT42107)
- Certificate IV in Health Service Assistance Operating Theatre Technical Support (HLT42007)
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance Operating Theatre Technical Work (HLT32507)
- Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (HLT31107)
Comprehensive learning materials are provided to each student, containing study materials, selected readings, activities and assessment details. All materials are forwarded to the student upon enrolment.
There is no formal requirement for students to attend Mayfield Education at any time in order to complete their training by distance education.
Progressive assessments can be mailed, emailed or faxed to Mayfield. The assessments are graded and returned to students within four weeks.
Application is open to both Australian and overseas students, subject to eligibility requirements.
Course Coordinators can be contacted by telephone, fax, mail or email during business hours to assist students.
Students who undertake a Certificate in a traineeship mode will be visited by a Course Coordinator at their workplace.
Please allow three weeks for processing application and forwarding materials.

This nationally recognised course prepares you for work or study in health care. The
course provides an introduction to medical terminology, anatomy and
physiology and other
health related topics. You will develop an understanding of medical terminology applicable
to a range of workplaces.

the cardiac technician.

The Diploma of Management is the appropriate qualificaiton for individuals who manage the work of others or who conduct management practices.
Mayfield Education has customised the Diploma of Management to address the specific learning needs of team leaders, supervisors and managers working within the health and community services sectors.

Operating Theatre Technican Work - Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (HLT32507)

This training prepares operating theatre technicians to work as a competent, reliable member of the health care team under
the guidance and supervision of nursing, anaesthetic and surgical staff in their delivery of patient care. Participants
develop competency in both technical and interpersonal skills.

training skills in senior operating
room technicians who provide a range of assistance functions to operating room personnel.
This course will enhance your ability to facilitate a cooperative team. This course will
also deepen your knowledge base and skills in monitoring policy and procedures in the
operating suite relevant to your role.

Training and Assessment - Certificate IV in (TAA40104)
Intakes commence each month
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification is the industry benchmark for anyone responsible for competency-based training program design, development, delivery and assessment in the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. It is mandated in the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) as the required qualification for trainers and assessors.
