Diploma of Management (BSB51107)

The Diploma of Management is the appropriate qualification for individuals who manage the work of others or who conduct management practices.

Mayfield Education has customised the Diploma of Management to address the specific learning needs of team leaders, supervisors and managers working within the health and community services sectors.

Entry Criteria
Current employment in the health or community services sector in a team leadership or supervisory capacity. The work environment should allow the practical application of the management competencies and completion of work-based learning projects.

Training Program
All 8 units of the Diploma of Management must be successfully completed to obtain the full qualification however any of the 8 units can be obtained individually. This flexibility enables you to complete units relevant to your specific needs. Units of study are:
• Manage people performance (BSBMGT502B)
• Manage operational plan (BSBMGT515A)
• Facilitate continuous improvement (BSBMGT516A)
• Ensure a safe workplace (BSBOHS509A)
• Manage personal work priorities and professional development (BSBWOR501A)
• Ensure team effectiveness (BSBWOR502A)
• Recruit, select and induct staff (BSBHRM402A)

Choice of:
• Manage projects (BSBPMG510A)
• Maintain Financial Records (BSBFIA301A)

Delivery
The program is delivered using a combination of face-to-face workshops and on-line interactive workshop as well as off-campus self-paced learning.

This course is also available by self-paced distance education learning.

Assessment
Students are assessed against specific performance criteria for each unit of study. Short assignments, a review of workplace practices, interviews with specified workplace personnel and on-the-job competency assessment.

Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment on completion of individual units
Nationally Recognised Certificate on completion of all units

$504 Victorian Training Guarantee Funded course fee plus $473 for Books and Materials
