Entry Criteria
Sterilisation personnel who have successfully completed Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (HLT31102 or HLT31107) are eligible to apply for this course.

- Interpret and apply medical terminology appropriately (BSBMED301B)

- Implement and monitor infection control policy and procedures (HLTIN403B)

- Manage availability and effectiveness of reusable medical devices (HLTSTE407A)
- Manage effectiveness of reprocessing of reusable medical devices (HLTSTE408A)
- Facilitate effective steam sterilisation (HLTSTE409A)
- Facilitate effective cleaning functions (HLTSTE410A)
- Supervise in a health setting (HLTSUP401A)
- Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills (TAADEL301C)

Assessment
Students are assessed against specific performance criteria for each unit of study using workbooks, written assignments, simulations, presentations and practical tasks.

Nationally Recognised Certificate for:
Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services (HLT46807); and,
Certificate IV in Health Supervision (HLT40407)

$4,800 per person.
