Food Safety for Food Handlers – 1 day short course

Any person who handles food in their workplace has a responsibility to comply with food safety laws and handle food safely. This training is designed to provide food handlers with practical strategies to comply with the food safety program at their premises. It covers correct preparation, handling, storing, display and transporting of food to minimise the risk of food contamination.

Organisations can have this program delivered in the workplace as a customised course.

Follow basic food safety principles (HLTFS207C)

Course Content
• Follow basic food safety practice
• Follow health legislation
• Prevention of food contamination
• Food hygiene and personal hygiene
• Cleanliness of premises
• Pest control
