Food Service Monitors require a range of skills and knowledge to enable them to perform their important role in ensuring optimum nutrition and food intake for patients/clients/residents.

Course Content
• Role and function of a Food Service Monitor
• Basic nutrition
• Special diets and cultural aspects of eating
• Menus and menu planning
• Communicating with patients/clients/residents
