This introductory workshop will provide the participant with a solid basis for understanding how to improve safety and quality and the contribution you can make in the healthcare environment.

Designed for:
This course is designed for healthcare staff with little or no previous quality-related experience who would like to participate more actively in monitoring and improving patient, client and resident care through an understanding of fundamental quality issues and systems.

This workshop will explore the following topics:
• What is quality in healthcare?
• Why are quality and safety important in healthcare?
• What are the key safety and quality issues?
• Starting your quality toolbox
• Your role in high quality care and services

Delivery
Half day course from 9.30am to 1.00 pm.
