Medication Endorsement for Division 2 Nurses (HLTEN507A, HLTAP501A)

From 1 July 2010 endorsement for medication administration for the Division 2 enrolled nurse no longer applies under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009). Enrolled nurses who have not completed the medication administration course have a “Notation” on their registration stating 'Does not hold Board approved qualifications in administration of medicines’. As of 1 July 2010 the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved the medication units of competence HLTAP501A and HLTEN507A as the two units of competence in Victoria that will remove the “notation” from the enrolled nurses registration to allow for administration medications.

This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to administer medications that leads to the removal of the notation on the NMBA register.
