Return-To-Practice for Division 2 Nurses
This program is for Division 2 nurses who have not practised for more than five year, who wish to update their knowledge and skills in order to satisfy the criteria for re-registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria (NBV). Upon successful completion of this course, participants may apply to the NBV for registration in Division 2 of the Victorian Nursing Register.

Entry Criteria
  • Current level 2 First Aid Certificate (HLTFA301B)
  • Letter of approval from the NBV
  • Attendance at Information Session
  • Interview
  • Police check
  • Resume with 2 referees
  • Immunisation status

Delivery
  • 80 theory hours 8.00 am to 4.30pm at Mayfield Education
  • Structured learning offsite in your own time
  • 160 hours of clinical placement (20 days)
Dates

Intake 1: Commencing 5 March 2009
5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27 March; 2-3, 23-24 April 2009

Intake 2: Commencing 6 August 2009
6-7, 13-14, 20-21 August; 3-4, 10-11, 27-28 September 2009

Assessment

Students are assessed against specific performance criteria for each unit of study. Tests, assignments and clinical expereince logbook. Both the theory and clinical component must be successfully completed.

Certificate of Completion

Learning Pathway

Mayfield Education structures this course for the Return to Practice student, when qualified, to articulate into Medication Endorsement for Division 2 Nurses (HLTEN507A and HLTAP501A).

$3,665 per person.
