| The Role and Function of the Division 2 Registered

Current undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing students seeking registration as a Division 2 Nurse will need to complete this module and the associated assessment. This
short course focuses on the role and scope of practice of the Division 2 Registered Nurse
within the multidisciplinary context. Upon completion students will be able to apply to their University to be
assessed for competence.

Content
- Scope of practice of the Division 2 Registered Nurse
- The multidisciplinary team approach in health care and the role of the Division 2
Registered Nurse
- Legislation and duty of care

- Demonstrate knowledge of legislation and common law pertinent to Division 2 Registered
Nurse practice
- Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures
- Explain the duty of care of the Division 2 Registered Nurse
- Recognise and participate in nursing care at the level of competence and performance required of a Division 2
Registered Nurse
- Complete documentation requirements within the role of the Division 2 Registered Nurse

Assessment
Simulated nursing assessment at Mayfield Education with clinical competency assessment by the student nurse's university.
Award
Mayfield Certificate of Attendance
Fee
$220 per person.
