Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Education) (TAE40110)
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Education) qualification is the industry benchmark for anyone responsible for competency-based training program design, development, delivery and assessment in the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. It is mandated in the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) as the required qualification for trainers and assessors.
This program improves upon the TAA qualification in that it contains additional adult education units.
Entry Criteria
The course is designed for people who are currently undertaking training and assessment responsibilities within their workplace or with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
Attendance is required at an information and assessment session at Mayfield Education (date to be advised), 2-10 Camberwell Road, Hawthorn East.

- Have a BSB or TAA qualification
RPL assessment interviews will be held on 14 February 2012.
Training Program
The full qualification consists of 7 core units and 3 selected electives which are grouped into themes. All units must be successfully completed to obtain the full qualification.
This flexibility enables you to complete the cluster of units relevant to your specific needs for example if you are assessing the competency of others or facilitating training.

- Plan assessment activities and processes (TAEASS401B)
- Assess competence (TAEASS402B)
- Participate in assessment validation (TAEASS403B)
- Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning (TAEDEL401A)
- Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace (TAEDEL402A)
- Design and develop learning programs (TAEDES401A)
- Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs (TAEDES402A)
Elective Units
- Facilitate e-learning (TAEDEL501A)
- Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills (TAELLN401A)
- Make a presentation (BSBCMM401A)
Delivery
We are able to run this course as a blended learning program (on-line and face-to-face resources) as well as off-campus self-paced learning.

Upgrade to Certificate IV TAE
Mayfield Education is able to assist you in obtaining recognition of prior learning to upgrade from the TAA qualification to the TAE. This can be achieved through providing evidence in a 90 minute interview with our facilitator.
Sessional Teachers of Mayfield Education
Current sessional teachers and staff of Mayfield will be invited to apply for upgrading their current TAA certificate to TAE by addressing an RPL criteria. This can be achieved in a 90 minute interview with our facilitator.

Funded Fee: $651.
Full Fee: $1,575
We are able to negotiate a fee for work places who have 10 or more participants.
Fee instalment plans may be negotiated with students depending on individual circumstances.
