What is a Traineeship

A traineeship is an excellent way to combine training and employment that leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

Different Types of Traineeships

bulletFunded Traineeships

A funded traineeship is open to any person who meets the eligibility criteria (set by the Australian Government) and also any Mayfield entry criteria. See below for further information.

Individuals are able to access funding through the State Government of Victoria which reduces the cost of their tuition fee and their employer is able to access incentive payments from the Federal Government

bulletFee for Service

If a trainee is not eligible for a funded traineeship, they can elect to still do their traineeship via a fee for service traineeship. The employer is still able to access incentive payments from the Federal Government; however the tuition fee is set and collected by Mayfield Education.
